Falcons vs. Patriots Odds
Game Preview
Falcons are truly an unpredictable crew. They have obvious talent, yet they are still young, and many are learning and adjusting to the NFL level. Last week, we saw them losing to the Dolphins at home, 10-34, which was pretty unexpected.
The best pass defense in the NFL allowed 4 passing touchdowns, without intercepting Tua Tagovailoa (NFL interceptions thrown leader with 10) throughout the entire event. Also, the rushers had only 45 running yards, which made it much easier for the Fins.
The Patriots have won 5 in a row and are maybe the best team in the AFC right now. During this stretch, they’ve allowed 20 points the most, which was against the Bills in Buffalo. Also, we need to mention that New England won three straight on the road in this interval.
Last weekend, we saw them beat the Browns, 32-13, at Gillette. Drake Maye had 282 passing yards and 50 rushing yards, for 3 TD passes and one interception. He was sacked 6 times but came out unscathed. Also, the running game provided 177 yards on the ground.
Falcons vs. Patriots Head to Head
After 16 games, the series stands at 10-6 for New England, which has won 7 in a row. One of them was Super Bowl LI, the famous comeback, 34-28.
Falcons vs. Patriots Predictions
With or without Penix Jr., and no matter Kirk Cousins’ motive (as he apparently requested a trade and probably wants to play the best possible game ahead of the same), the Falcons stand no chance against the Patriots. Vrabel’s unit is very strong on both fields right now. We pick the home team to win and cover a 4.5-point spread.
