Jaguars vs. Raiders Odds
Game Preview
The Jags are 4-3, and they need a win here. The pressure is on QB Trevor Lawrence to deliver, and we’re very curious about his reaction. He oscillates a lot this season, having magic moments, but terrible ones as well.
Jacksonville has an excellent run defense, allowing just 91.1 yards per game, which is the 6th best in the NFL. Additionally, their turnover ratio is +8, indicating that their defense is performing exceptionally well.
The NFL leader for interceptions thrown, Geno Smith, needs to dust off and step up. He has 7 TD passes and was intercepted 10 times. Now that’s humiliating for a guy who signed a two-year $75 million contract.
DE Maxx Crosby is questionable, but we expect him to play in this one and press Lawrence. One of the best defenders in the league has only 4 sacks this year, which is below his level, though he just might explode here after a two-week rest.
Jaguars vs. Raiders Head to Head
The Raiders have a narrow lead in the all-time series, 6-5, with them also winning the last game, which was during the previous season, 19-14 at home.
Jaguars vs. Raiders Predictions
Jags are unstable, that’s nothing new, and so are the Raiders. Though in terms of the home-field edge and the fact that they had more time to rest, the silver and black are closer to winning here, and we will bet on them. Jags defend well, but are not particularly strong in the secondary, which should give even a mediocre QB like Geno some space.
