Saints vs. Rams Odds
Game Preview
The New Orleans Saints moved on from Spencer Rattler, at least for the moment. The rookie QB Tyler Shough will start this one and show if he is ready for the top challenges. His current team is one of the worst in the NFL, so there’s no pressure on the youngster in terms of results.
Overall, the defense is significantly worse than the offense, which is somewhat ludicrous, considering the Saints have Chris Olave and Alvin Kamara, two players who would be starters on any given team in the league right now.
The Rams are after the top in the NFC West. The team is 5-2 and looks very solid, having posted three wins in the past four weeks. The previous pair was highly impressive, with the defense leading the way. First in Baltimore 17-3, and the following at home vs. Jags 35-7.
Rams have the 3rd-most passing yards per game, 256.7, which is normal when you have Matt Stafford and Puka Nacua. The latter will play this Sunday, as he went through a training session on Thursday.
Saints vs. Rams Head to Head
The Rams lead the series 45-35, and they won the previous event on January 12, 2024, by a score of 21-14 on the road.
Saints vs. Rams Predictions
Sure, Shough will be an enigma for the defense because he hasn’t been scouted yet, but overall, that won’t help the Saints avoid a big loss. The Rams are just in perfect form, and we take them to cover a 14.5-point spread.
