Game Preview

The Vikings have to step up, as 3 defeats in their last 4 matches are terrible. Last one was on Thursday Night Football, 37-10 vs. the Chargers, who sacked Carson Wentz 5 times and limited his QBR to 27.3. Wentz was 15-for-27 for 144 yards, one touchdown, and one interception.

What was even worse than him were the rushers. Zavier Scott was the best with 16 yards. Minnesota ended this event with 34 yards on the ground in total. One of the worst games in years.

After being properly outplayed by the Chiefs, the Detroit Lions have defeated the injury-banged Buccaneers pretty easily, 24-9. They needed that not just for a win, but also to get back into the winning routine.

Let’s be honest, Tampa Bay had plenty of problems, and the Lions didn’t have to push too hard here. RB Jahmyr Gibbs was unstoppable, posting 218 yards from scrimmage for 2 TDs in total. Gibbs had 136 rushing yards and 82 receiving yards.

Vikings vs. Lions Head to Head

After 127 meetings, the record is heavily on the Vikes’ side, 80-45-2. However, the Lions have 5 straight triumphs, two last year, 31-29 in Minneapolis and 31-9 at home.

Vikings vs. Lions Predictions

The Lions are a better team than the Vikings, who have QB troubles. One of the top defenses in the NFL meets, let’s say, an average unit, at home, and that usually means an easy victory.
