Preview
Minnesota won their 5th straight game on Sunday, climbing to 6-4 on the season. After a first-round loss in last season’s playoffs and a 1-4 start, many people had the Vikings pegged as a team set to rebuild. Instead they managed to go 5-0 without superstar WR Justin Jefferson, who is due back very soon. In Sunday’s win, newly-acquired QB Josh Dobbs was exceptional, finishing with 312 total yards and 2 TDs.
The Broncos have officially turned their season around. After a brutal 1-5 start, where their only win came against the Bears by 3, it seemed like Denver was in for a repeat of last season. Since then, they’ve now won three straight games, with the last two coming against the Chiefs and Bills. The Broncos have a very winnable schedule down the stretch, and could make a surprise playoff push if their defense is consistent.
Prediction
Both of these teams have surprised people lately, after rough starts to the season. In this game, Denver’s 3-game winning streak will clash with Minnesota’s 5-game streak. The return of Justin Jefferson will play a key role against a Broncos defense that was scorched by Tyreek Hill and other top receivers. If Jefferson returns to the field as expected, I see the Vikings getting the win on the road in a close, competitive game.
