Game Preview

The Tampa Bay Lightning will be on the road this week, as they bid to snap a three-game losing run and reassert their dominance at the top of the Atlantic Division.

Despite a losing run, Tampa have gone 38-17-4 this season, and only the Montreal Canadiens have scored more goals in the Atlantic Division. However, the Lightning were extremely disappointing in their most recent outing, losing 5-1 on the road against the Minnesota Wild.

But, their overall record on the road does still look strong, having gone 19-6-4. Therefore, they have suffered fewer regulation defeats on their travels than they have at the Benchmark International Arena.

The Winnipeg Jets will have the home ice advantage on Thursday, as they bid to maintain their recent run of good form. Winnipeg held their nerve in their previous outing, beating the Chicago Blackhawks in overtime.

Mark Scheifele has been a standout player throughout the campaign, once again showing his importance in that win with a goal and two assists. Being at home will be key for the Jets this week, as they have gone 13-11-5 at Canada Life Centre compared to 11-15-5 on the road.

Tampa Bay Lightning vs. Winnipeg Jets Picks

The Lightning will be a short-price to get back on track this week. However, the Jets could be the value play after impressing in home games throughout the campaign.
