Interesting action is set for the NHL on Monday, as two evenly matched sides lock horns in Columbus, Ohio. The Devils will be playing for the second time in a couple of days, as they bid to extend their winning run of games to two.
It was an excellent return to form by the Devils over the weekend, as they quickly put a heavy defeat behind them after beating the Tampa Bay Lightning 5-3 on the road. The Devils scored three times in the opening period, before pulling away from their rivals in the final frame. Connor Brown was a standout performer for the team after scoring twice.
The Blue Jackets should also be a confident team coming into this home clash. It is the first time this term that they have played at home, and plenty of positives could have been taken from their recent win against the Minnesota Wild.
Columbus excelled in the offensive areas of the ice in that win, scoring seven times in a pulsating display. Kirill Marchenko was the standout player in the success, as he netted three times. Other goals were added by Zach Werenski, Boone Jenner, and Miles Wood.
