Game Preview
Two evenly matched sides from the Pacific Division will collide in the NHL on Thursday. The Seattle Kraken come into this clash sitting a place higher than their opponents, having gone 11-7-6 so far this term. However, a return to form will be required this week following a run of three straight defeats.
Seattle were well below their best against the Oilers in their latest game, as they were beaten 4-0. The Kraken stuttered for offensive quality throughout that clash, with Brandon Montour failing to score from four shots.
However, the Oilers thrived throughout that encounter, scoring twice in the second period, as well as netting once in each of the first and third periods. Connor McDavid, Leon Draisaitl, and Ryan Nugent-Hopkins all ended the win with a goal and an assist.
The victory improved Edmonton’s record to 11-11-5 this season, and means that they have now gone 4-5-1 across their last ten. However, they failed to back up that win in their latest outing after suffering a 1-0 home loss against the Minnesota Wild.
Kraken vs. Oilers Picks
The Oilers flexed their muscles in the meeting between these sides last weekend, and they should be primed for another positive result against their out-of-form rivals on Thursday.
