It hasn’t been the start to the new NHL season that fans of the Chicago Blackhawks would have been hoping for. The Western Conference side have already suffered regulation time defeats in two of their three matches, with their other outing ending in an overtime loss against the Bruins.
The Blackhawks were last in action over the weekend after conceding a late winner in a home game against the Montreal Canadiens. Connor Bedard and Sam Rinzel scored for Chicago in the second period, but their efforts would ultimately count for very little.
Confidence could be gained by the start to the season enjoyed by the Mammoth, as they have recorded one win and one defeat from their two outings. A first win since the off-season rebrand was achieved over the weekend after claiming a dramatic overtime success against the Predators.
