Real Madrid is now the favorite to win the title, despite being outplayed by Barcelona in each of their games last year. It seems that Xabi Alonso’s arrival has raised the spirits at Santiago Bernabeu. However, Barca has something to say too.

Ancelotti is out and Alonso is in. There are some new faces in Real, like the Argentinian prodigy, Franco Mastantuono, or Trent Alexander-Arnold. The bookies see Real as the top favorite for the La Liga title, in front of Barcelona. Why? To be honest, we aren’t sure.
Barcelona has created a core that could become another dynasty from Camp Nou, as all the key players are youngsters and are yet to reach their prime. Hansi Flick didn’t spend too much money this summer, and the only notable addition is Marcus Rashford, who came on loan. Other than that, Blaugrana wasn’t too active, though there’s enough time for that.
Atletico Again No.3
The Mattress Makers looked as if they could sneak in and take the title last year, though they eventually lost their pace in the key part of the season. However, what a few notice is that Atletico has a very stable backbone of the team, with players who are slightly older than Barcelona’s but still not in their prime, or just at the beginning of the same.
Also, Atletico spent more than $170 million this summer, so we can definitely tell that Simeone’s team has more depth and quality than during the previous season.
Who Wins the 2025 La Liga?
Xabi Alonso will have to deal with a lot of ego in Real’s locker room, and given that with his arrival, there will be some changes in the system, we aren’t so sure that Real has the necessary resources to take down Barcelona. Flick’s unit appears to be the perfect machinery for La Liga.
