Game Preview
Flamengo was routine against the Tunisian powerhouse, Esperanca, whom they beat 2-0. It was the 5th consecutive win for the Brazilians in all competitions and the fourth in a row in which they had not allowed a single goal during 90 minutes.
Goalkeeper Agustin Rossi doesn’t have too much of a job because his teammates from defense and middle prevent the rivals from even reaching the box. We need to say that Luiz Arajuo, the scorer against Esperance, had a marvelous game.
Chelsea cruised past LAFC, defeating the Americans 2-0. The scorers for Maresca’s team were Pedro Neto in the 34th minute and Enzo Fernandez in the 79th. Yes, it could have been better for the English team, but a win is a win.
The Blues now have 4 wins in a row, and in three of them, they posted clean sheets. Maresca finally improved the defense, which struggled in the second part of the campaign pretty badly.
