Game Preview
The Brazilians have probably the strongest defense in the tournament. Some will say it’s not tested properly, but we ain’t doing that at all. Yes, their group was a bit easier than the others, with Porto, Inter Miami, and Al Ahly, plus Botafogo, in the Round of 16, but that doesn’t diminish their quality in the backline.
Palmeiras plays slow and very tactical football. When necessary, Verdao becomes physical as well. This team has very creative youngsters and is by far the most talented of all the non-European crews.
Chelsea almost wasted a win over Benfica, conceding a penalty in the final minutes and allowing the Eagles to come back and level the score. In the end, they won 1-4, but we are pretty curious about what would have happened if there hadn’t been Prestianni’s red card in extra time.
