Match Preview
For the second time in three editions of the CONCACAF Nations League, Mexico and the USA will lock horns in the final. The USA will be solid favorites in the betting to continue their dominance in the competition after winning each of the previous two editions of the Nations League. Their first honor was picked up following a 3-2 win over Mexico in 2020.
However, the U.S. needed their fair share of luck in the semi-final stage after coming from behind to beat Jamaica. Their rivals opened the scoring after just a minute, and the USA didn’t level the scores until an own goal in the sixth minute of injury time. Haji Wright then took control of the game after netting twice in extra time.

Mexico enjoyed their best showing in the Nations League when finishing as the runners-up in the 2020 edition. They were unable to build on that showing when finishing third in the previous edition of the tournament last summer. However, they were far more convincing in their semi-final outing, and that could leave them with an excellent chance on Sunday.
It was an ultra-competitive display by the Mexicans on Thursday, as they eased to a 3-0 win over the in-form Panama. Edson Alvarez and Julian Quinones scored the goals in the first 45 minutes, before victory was assured following Orbelin Pineda’s effort with just over 20 minutes remaining.
USA vs Mexico Prediction
The USA boast an excellent recent record against Mexico after winning two of the last three. They are unbeaten against their rivals since a 1-0 loss in July 2019. However, it could be hard to challenge Mexico this weekend, as they were far more impressive in their semi-final outing.
