Match Preview
Panama were one of the standout nations in the previous edition of the CONCACAF Nations League, as they reached the semi-final stage before falling in Las Vegas against Canada. However, they could be a decent bet to at least reach the same stage of the tournament once again in 2023-24.
The nation was one of the standout teams in the opening round of the tournament, as they topped the Group A standings after finishing a point clear of Trinidad and Tobago. Defensively, they were excellent in that opening round, as they conceded just two goals in four matches. Meanwhile, they picked up three wins from a possible four.

Costa Rica were handpicked to progress straight through to this stage of the tournament. However, there would be huge concern surrounding their recent form. They come into this match after losing twice in their previous three, with their most recent loss coming on home soil against the UAE in September.
Costa Rica didn’t play an international match in the previous break, meaning that they will have limited confidence coming into this showdown. They will also need to avenge a recent defeat against Panama, as they were beaten by their rivals on matchday one in the Gold Cup in June.
Costa Rica vs Panama Prediction
This should be an exciting showdown in the Nations League this week. However, there could be good value in siding with Panama, who have been in fine recent form, and have also landed a recent victory over their rivals.
