The pressure will be back on Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal this weekend, as their advantage at the top of the Premier League standings may just be one point when they kick off on Sunday. Despite winning four of their last five, the Gunners will need an improved performance this weekend following a disappointing defensive display against Sunderland before the international break.
A notable concern for the Gunners this weekend is that they will be without first-team defender Gabriel. As well as being a big miss defensively, the Brazilian has also been a scoring threat from corners throughout the campaign. However, Arsenal have dominated home North London derbies throughout EPL history, winning four of the last five at the Emirates.
Questions are still hanging over Frank, despite the fact that Tottenham come into this round sitting fifth in the Premier League standings. Spurs were hugely fortunate to take a point from their latest clash with Man United, while they have recorded just one win in their last four in the league.
However, playing on the road has been a big benefit for Spurs so far this season. They have won four of their five away from home, scoring a higher average of goals than they have in their home fixtures. Meanwhile, Tottenham have also kept clean sheets in 60% of their away clashes.
