Game Preview
It has been a stunning opening half to the Premier League season for Aston Villa, and few could deny that Unai Emery’s side are well in the race for the title. Villa come into this busy period of the season sitting third in the standings, and they are just three points adrift of Arsenal at the summit.
They are the in-form team in Europe at this stage of the season after claiming victories in each of their last ten across all competitions. Their winning sequence was maintained with a 2-1 home win over Man United last Sunday.
Morgan Rogers was the star of the show, netting two excellent goals to show his importance. Villa’s away record has also been reliable this term, losing just two of their eight games on the road, and averaging 1.5 goals per game.
Chelsea will be a short-price favorite this weekend, but holes can be poked in their form. The Blues were extremely poor for 45 minutes against Newcastle on Saturday, before fighting back to rescue an undeserved point in the second period.
