Game Preview
Huge pressure will be on the reigning Premier League champions this weekend, as they bid to end a club-worst losing run of nine in 12. Liverpool haven’t suffered as many defeats over the same period in over 70 years, and it would be a major concern that they have lost each of their last three by three-goal margins.
Liverpool’s weak character was on full display once again in midweek, as they were easily swatted aside by PSV. The Reds are still yet to find the right balance since big money additions, while experienced players such as Salah and Van Dijk appear to be passed their best.
West Ham will have the home field advantage this weekend, as they hope to climb further clear of the relegation places. Nuno Espirito Santo has transformed the team’s fortunes in recent weeks, winning two of their last three, and taking seven points over that period.
However, West Ham would have been disappointed to earn a draw in their latest outing, as they threw away a 2-0 lead against Bournemouth. But, the Hammers have won each of their last two at the London Stadium.
West Ham vs. Liverpool Picks
Liverpool’s losing sequence can’t be overlooked this weekend, and they may be among the worst priced selections of the weekend. West Ham’s improved home form is worth siding with, while the Hammers’ ability to play on the counter-attack will be a major strength.
