LAFC vs. Mazatlan Odds
LAFC vs. Mazatlan Preview
The Black and Gold lost its last game, which was against the Portland Timbers at home, 0-1. It was the first defeat for Steve Cherindolo’s boys since June 30 and a four-match streak.
After playing 3-3 in El Trafico vs. Galaxy, it seems that the FC lost its pace, especially in defense. They had three straight clean sheets, yet collapsed over the previous 180 minutes.
Mazatlan opened the Liga MX Apertura with a neutral record – one win, tie, and loss each. After playing without goals on the road in Cruz Azul, they would beat Puebla at home, 2-1. Then last weekend came the loss to Pachuca on the road, 1-0.
It was the third game over the last five in which we saw under 2.5 goals. It appears that the Mazatlan prefers to play slow-paced and somewhat conservative games. And that goes especially for the road contests.
LAFC vs. Mazatlan Head to Head
So far, these two teams have never met.
LAFC vs. Mazatlan Predictions
LAFC is one of the top contenders to win this competition, and as such, it enters Tuesday’s clash as a huge favorite. And to be honest, that’s nothing strange, as they play an average Liga MX team at home. We pick LAFC to win here and to get off to a successful start in the Leagues Cup.
