Mexico vs. Australia Odds
Game Preview
Mexico was better than Ghana a few days ago in Puebla, 2-0. They started preparations for the World Cup among the first, and that’s understandable given the amount of public pressure they anticipate. It’s the main reason head coach Javier Aguirre started the test games this early.
El Tri has not lost in its last 6 games, posting 4 wins and 2 ties. Their games don’t include goals, and 5 of those matches ended with under 2.5 hits.
Australia is in Group D, with the hosts USA, Paraguay, and Turkiye. They too want to prepare in the best possible way for the World Cup, which is why they came to America and chose to meet one of the hosts.
Socceroos have back-to-back wins now, both in March. One was against Cameroon, 1-0, and the other against Curacao, 5-1. Previously, this unit lost three in a row, to the USA, Venezuela, and Colombia, with a 1-6 combined goal difference.
Mexico vs. Australia Head to Head
The last meeting between the two sides was in the 2023 friendly international, which ended 2-2.
Mexico vs. Australia Predictions
El Tri is a favorite here because of its form and because the Rose Bowl will host at least 60,000 Mexican fans. Socceroos are a formidable bunch, but we take the Mexicans because the Aussies haven’t performed well on the road against higher-ranked teams.
