Match Preview
Ruben Amorim’s unbeaten start at Man United was ended at the hands of Arsenal in midweek, but positives can be taken despite the 2-0 loss. The Red Devils defended well from open play, limiting the Gunners to few openings.
However, both of the Arsenal goals were conceded from setpieces, and there was very little offensive threat from United throughout the fixture at the Emirates.
Nottingham Forest remain in the lofty position of sixth in the Premier League standings, but their form has dipped slightly in recent weeks. The Tricky Trees have now lost three of their last four, with their most recent defeat coming in midweek at Man City.

United’s dominant head-to-head record against Forest is worth considering this weekend. The Red Devils have won six of their last seven matches against the Tricky Trees at Old Trafford, with the only defeat coming back in December 1994.
Forest recorded a 2-1 win in the last league meeting between the teams, but they haven’t won successive matches against United in the league since April 1992. The Red Devils have scored in 100% of their 14 Premier League matches against Forest.
United’s attackers have been in good form at Old Trafford in recent weeks, netting three against Leicester and four against Everton. Therefore, the Red Devils could score at least three goals in three successive matches for the first time since February 2021.
Man United vs. Nottingham Forest Picks
United have shown progression under Amorim in the short period that he has been at the club. The home win looks like the most likely outcome this weekend, especially considering that Forest have lost each of their last two on the road.
