Match Preview
The festive period in the Premier League is important for all teams in the competition, but especially those competing for the league title. Therefore, Arsenal will be hoping to collect maximum points from all their matches over the Christmas period. The Gunners could come into this fixture with an extended advantage at the summit if they are able to pick up a victory at Anfield against Liverpool.
David Moyes is once again under pressure at West Ham, as questions were asked of his team selection in the club’s recent quarterfinal defeat against Liverpool in the EFL Cup. However, their league form coming into the busy period of matches is strong after winning three of their last five, and suffering just a single defeat over that period.

Arsenal have a strong league record against the Hammers after going eight without defeat against their East London rivals in the Premier League. Over that period, the Gunners have recorded six victories, with just two matches ending in draws. Each of the draws were played out at the London Stadium, with West Ham’s most recent away success against Arsenal coming in August 2015.
However, the Hammers will take confidence from their recent outing against the Gunners ahead of this clash, as the East London side landed a 3-1 home win when the sides met in the fourth round of the EFL Cup in November. But, they have won once on their last 13 visits to the Emirates.
Arsenal vs West Ham Prediction
Arsenal’s dominant home record against the Hammers in the Premier League looks challenging to overlook this week. Therefore, there is a safe feeling about siding with the Gunners at the Emirates.
