It has been an excellent start to the Premier League season for Tottenham, and they could extend their advantage at the top of the league standings to five points on Friday. Spurs have won each of their last three league matches, and they are one of just two sides in the competition that are yet to suffer a defeat this term.
Tottenham’s away record in London derbies should be respected, as they have gone five without defeat since a loss against Arsenal last October. They haven’t enjoyed a longer unbeaten sequence on the road against London rivals since going seven without defeat between October 1992 and December 1993.
Crystal Palace will be hoping to get back on track this weekend after being hammered 4-0 by Newcastle in their previous Premier League outing. Their record in London derbies is extremely poor, as they have picked up just two victories from their 15 matches. Both victories have been picked up against West Ham.
Palace may have lost last weekend, but they haven’t suffered back-to-back defeats in the Premier League since Roy Hodgson returned to the club earlier this year. However, they have played out 0-0 draws in each of their last two home matches in the top-flight.
Crystal Palace vs Tottenham Prediction
Spurs look a solid bet to continue their strong start to the season, as they have won 61% of their Premier League encounters against Palace. Meanwhile, Palace have landed just a single victory from their last 16 against Spurs.
