Igor Tudor is already under immense pressure at Tottenham, despite only having taken the caretaker role less than a month ago. A sign of the Premier League side’s struggles were clear for all to see in last week’s limp display in the first leg against Atletico Madrid.
Spurs fell apart in the opening 22 minutes, conceding four times, before Pedro Porro threatened an unlikely comeback before the break. However, Tottenham’s defensive inabilities later saw them concede a fifth goal in the second half.
Tottenham have bigger issues ahead of them than this clash against Atletico, as their Premier League status is still under increasing threat. However, the first signs of character in 17 games were evident on Sunday after battling back to force an away draw at Liverpool.
