Alcaraz vs. Djokovic Odds
Match Preview
Carlos had tough times against Alexander Zverev in the semis, winning 3-2 after 5 hours and 26 minutes of play, 6-4, 7-6 (5), 6-7 (3), 6-7 (4), 7-5 by sets. It was a grueling match, yet it didn’t start that way, as Carlitos easily took a 2-0 lead. However, he threw up, and later fought cramps in his thigh.
However, the Spaniard managed to get through all this and finish his matchup, visibly shaken and tired. He dodged the bullet, though his fans are concerned about his physical condition.
Novak, too, will have fatigue problems. Djokovic ended his match against Sinner deep into the night in Australia, around 2 am. He ended a 5-match losing streak against the Italian, who gave his best, yet couldn’t do anything against the 38-year-old Serb. In the end, it was 3-6, 6-3, 4-6, 6-4, 6-4.
When it mattered the most, Novak was all over the court, playing more than 4 and a half hours. Seeing him play in the final set reminded everyone of Novak some 10 years ago, when he ruled this sport.
Alcaraz vs. Djokovic Head to Head
These guys will play for the 10th time. So far, Novak leads 5-4. The last meeting was in New York last year, when Carlitos smashed Nole, 3-0.
They had 4 finals, and the result is tied, 2-2. Novak won in Cincinnati in 2023 and the Olympics in Paris a year later. Carlos was better at Wimbledon on both occasions in 2023 and 2024.
They have one game in Australia, last year in the quarterfinals, when Novak won.
Alcaraz vs. Djokovic Predictions
Carlos is younger and stronger, but if Novak plays against him as he did against Sinner, we simply believe that the Serb would win this one, no matter Carlos’s shape. But… These two guys know each other very well, and betting on the final outcome would be very risky, so we’re taking over 38.5 games for this event.
