Match Preview
A thrilling French Open semi-final lies in wait on Friday, as two of the best players in this year’s tournament lock horns. Carlos Alcaraz has been the clear favorite to win the Grand Slam throughout the competition, and he has done little to impact those claims throughout his run to this stage.
The Spanish superstar has dropped just one set, and has won each of his previous three matches in straight sets. The 20-year-old produced his best display at the French Open in the previous round, as he sailed through against Stefanos Tsitsipas by a score of 6-2, 6-1, 7-5.

Novak Djokovic has previous experience on his side at Roland Garros, as he has won the Grand Slam title in Paris on two previous occasions. However, he boasts his lowest win rate of any Grand Slam event at Roland Garros, but that remains a ridiculously high strike-rate of 84%.
Like Alcaraz, Djokovic has dropped just one set on his way to this stage. That came in the previous round against Karen Khachanov. However, the Serbian was able to step up his performance in the final three sets to land a dramatic comeback victory over the Russian. In total, he smashed down eleven aces, and won 77% of the points on his first serve.
French Open Predictions
Interestingly, this is only the second clash between these two superstars. The previous match was won by Alcaraz. Crucially, that win was achieved on the clay surface at the Madrid Masters last year. We expect a thrilling encounter between the stars on Friday, with Alcaraz eventually coming through after a five-set thriller.
