The standout tie in the third round of the men’s draw on Saturday comes in the form of Alexander Zverev against Frances Tiafoe. The American avoided a slight scare in the second round, as he came back from a set down to eventually land success over Aslan Karatsev. However, he has already marked his best return at the event, as this is the first time that he has reached the third round at Roland Garros.

Alexander Zverev has looked back to his very best throughout the competition to this point, and he breezed through a tricky-looking test on paper on Thursday with a straight sets win over Alex Molcan. The German is the narrow preference this weekend, as he looks to continue his excellent record at the French Open, which has seen him reach the last four in each of the last two years.

This should be a thrilling tie in the women’s third-round on Saturday, and we have been full of confidence regarding these stars throughout the week after tipping them both in the second round. Andreescu certainly appears to have put her injury issues behind her, as she came storming through to win her second-round showdown against Emma Navarro on Thursday.

However, there is definitely value in siding with Tsurenko on Saturday. The Ukrainian has often threatened to get involved in Grand Slam events, and the draw does appear to have opened up for her this year. She played incredibly well on Thursday to see off the talented Lauren Davis, and that extra recovery time could be key this weekend.

I make no secret about the fact that Ons Jabeur is one of my favorite women’s players on the tour, and I still believe that she will win a Grand Slam tournament at some point. She has looked excellent throughout the French Open to this stage, having registered back-to-back wins without dropping a set. Her dominance continued on Thursday, dropping just five games against Oceane Dodin.

Olga Danilovic certainly looks to have a solid chance of upsetting the odds this weekend, as she has been in excellent form since coming through qualifying. She is yet to drop a set in five matches throughout the tournament, and has already seen off the talented duo of Kateryna Baindl and Jasmine Paolini in the main draw. Once again, she will need a career-best effort against one of the best players in the world, but we expect her to put up an excellent showing, before eventually losing a three-set thriller.
