Zverev vs. Mensik Odds
Game Preview
Sasha is in excellent shape, as he lost just one set in Paris this year. To be honest, he didn’t have any particularly tough rivals so far: Bonzi, Mahac, Halys, De Jong, and eventually Jordan in the quarterfinals.
He dispatched the Spaniard in straight sets, having little trouble in the first set, 7-6, 6-1, 6-3. Zverev had 7 aces without a double fault, and he converted 5 of 11 break points. Overall, Sasha was very confident.
Mensik beat Joao Fonseca 3-0 in the quarterfinals. It was 6-4, 6-3, 7-6 for the Czech, who used his 7th match point in the third set to finally break the Brazilian rival.
It will be interesting to see how Mensik recovers from his previous challenges. He has played nearly 20 hours in Paris, which might affect his performance in the semis.
Zverev vs. Mensik Head to Head
Zverev and Mensik met once, and the German was better. It was at the ATP Masters in Madrid that Zverev defeated his rival 2-0.
Zverev vs. Mensik Predictions
Mensik is powerful; he hits from the baseline with fierce intensity, the same as Zverev. Though Sasha has more experience in matches like this (this is his 5th semis at Roland Garros), and he didn’t have to use as much energy as Kuba so far during the tournament. That’s why we bet on the German to win.
