Fight Preview
The WBO Welterweight championship will be on the line in Saudi Arabia at the end of November, as Brian Norman Jr defends against Devin Haney. Haney will be aiming to maintain his excellent record in the ring, and become a three-division champion. However, his recent outings have been below his usual high standards.
The American fought a no-contest against Ryan Garcia last April, but he did get back on track with a brilliant tactical display in a unanimous decision victory against Jose Ramirez in May this year. Haney still boasts an unbeaten record in the ring, winning 32 of his 33 professional fights. He has already scored some notable wins in the ring, including a pair of victories over George Kambosos Jr and an excellent win against Vasily Lomachenko in May 2023.

Brian Norman Jr will be preferred in the betting for this fascinating showdown in the Middle East. The Georgian-native has been a dominant force in the ring throughout his career, winning 28 of his 30 professional bouts. He has also been the defending Welterweight champion since August of last year.
Norman’s knockout power will be a hugely important angle for this showdown, with a staggering 22 of his victories coming inside the distance. He registered a contender for knockout of the year earlier in 2025 after stopping Jin Sasaki in the fifth round. But, this challenge against Haney will be a more tactical affair.
Devin Haney vs. Brian Norman Jr Picks
Norman’s punching power ensures that he stands a chance of ending this fight within the distance. However, Haney’s experience in big fights is hard to ignore, and he has a proven record against A-ranked boxers. Due to that, we like the chances of the challenger becoming a three-division champion.
