Event Preview
The halfway point of the Formula 1 season will be reached this Sunday, as the British Grand Prix is staged at Silverstone. This weekend’s race will cover a total distance of 190.263 miles, which will be made up of 52 laps of the iconic circuit. Its reputation as one of the most famous races on the calendar is reflected by the fact that it is the oldest World Championship race in Formula 1, as it was held for the first time in 1950.
However, a number of potential first-time winners of the race headline the betting this weekend. Lando Norris rejuvenated his championship hopes with a much-needed win in Austria last Sunday, closing the gap on teammate Oscar Piastri at the summit. But, it could be argued that the Australian was the quicker of the two McLarens throughout the Grand Prix.

Ferrari would have gained confidence from their performance levels in Austria last weekend, with Charles Leclerc and Lewis Hamilton finishing third and fourth, respectively. It could also be worth noting that Hamilton typically produces something special at Silverstone, winning the race for a record-extending ninth time in 2024.
Red Bull will have questions to answer this weekend after failing to score points in Austria. Max Verstappen crashed out on the first lap after contact with Kimi Antonelli, while Yuki Tsunoda continues to struggle in the cursed second car. George Russell was likely the biggest beneficiary last Sunday, as the British driver took fifth behind the chasing pack.
British Grand Prix Picks
We like the chances of Hamilton finishing on the podium this weekend. However, it could be Piastri who spoils the British party. The Australian has been excellent throughout the season, and his race pace was excellent last Sunday, and he would have arguably caught his teammate with better luck in the final stages.
