Match Preview
The thrilling action on the F1 schedule continues at the end of June when the action moves back to Europe. The Spanish Grand Prix forms the tenth race on the schedule this season, with the race having been competed since 1913. It is one of the oldest races on the F1 schedule, with the 100th anniversary being celebrated in 2013. However, the Spanish Grand Prix will only be contested in Barcelona until 2026 before it moves to a new track in Madrid.
Michael Schumacher and Lewis Hamilton are tied for the most race wins in the history of this race, with both drivers winning on six previous occasions. Ferrari is the leading constructor with 12 victories. Max Verstappen landed a dominant victory in this race last year after finishing 24 seconds clear of Lewis Hamilton.

Verstappen comes into this race after bouncing back to winning ways in Canada last time out. The Dutchman held his nerve in testing conditions to finish clear of Lando Norris. However, the McLaren driver would have likely been disappointed with that result after a strategic error cost him his chance of landing a second win in F1.
It was an improved weekend for Mercedes in Canada, with George Russell and Hamilton finishing in third and fourth, respectively. However, it was a miserable weekend for Mercedes, with Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz both failing to finish the race.
Spanish Grand Prix Prediction
The pack have closed the gap on Verstappen and the Red Bull, and the circuit in Spain could be perfectly suited to the McLaren. Therefore, we could see Lando Norris picking up a second career victory in F1.
