Event Preview

The latest race on the F1 calendar comes this Sunday, as the Hungaroring hosts the Hungarian Grand Prix. Drivers will complete 70 laps of the track to make up the 306.630-km race distance. Lewis Hamilton holds the record for the most victories in the Hungarian Grand Prix with eight.

However, this weekend will be all about the dominant Kimi Antonelli. The teenager continues to be on course to win a first Drivers’ Championship, having extended his advantage to 45 points at the top of the standings following a victory in last weekend’s Belgian Grand Prix. While it was joy for Antonelli, Mercedes teammate and championship rival, George Russell, crashed out on the opening lap after colliding with Lewis Hamilton.

Hamilton was able to jump ahead of Russell in the standings after finishing an excellent fourth. A better result could have been achieved had it not been for a five-second time penalty. Charles Leclerc was the lead Ferrari in Belgium, as he finished second and was within two seconds of Antonelli.

It was a largely positive weekend for Red Bull, who appeared to unlock pace in the car. Max Verstappen qualified second, and finished third in the Grand Prix to achieve a second podium in three races. Isack Hadjar also enjoyed a solid weekend, achieving a top-six finish for the sixth race running.

Arvid Linblad could be another chance to finish in the top-ten. The British driver has looked anything but a rookie in 2026, and he achieved a ninth-place finish in Belgium to extend his run of points-scoring finishes to five.

Hungarian Grand Prix Picks

Antonelli looked incredibly confident throughout the weekend in Belgium, and his mentality ensures that he is the one to beat in the championship race. Another positive weekend looks to be on the cards in Hungary, meaning that he is our selection at the odds available.
