Event Preview
The BMW International Open is one of two DP World Tour events held in Germany annually, alongside the Porsche European Open. This weekend’s competition has been on the European schedule since 1989, but it has only been held in Munich since 2012.
Players will compete across a total distance of 7,347 yards in one of Germany’s most famous cities, with the par 72 competition offering a total prize fund of $2.5 million. The stroke play record at the event is held by 2001 champion John Daly, who finished 27-under par.

Jordan Smith will be a logical play for many this weekend after finishing as the runner-up 12 months ago. The Englishman has been in consistent form throughout the season, and finished in a solid T28 at the Italian Open last weekend. That was the perfect performance after shooting +19 at the U.S. Open.
However, all the attention in Germany will be on LIV Golfer Patrick Reed. He will be playing a DP World Tour event for the first time since February, and the American will be on the comeback trail after an impressive T23 finish at the U.S. Open last month.
One of the most consistent players on the European Tour throughout this season has been Rasmus Neergaard-Petersen. The Danish 26-year-old finished an excellent T12 at the U.S. Open, and that finish marked an excellent return to form after failing to make the cut in his three prior appearances.
BMW International Open Picks
Eugenio Chacarra catches the eye at the odds this weekend. The talented 20-year-old Spaniard has been a revelation on the tour since winning the Indian Open, making the cut in six of his last seven. This weekend, he represents value in the betting following his T7 finish at the Italian Open last time out.
