Event Preview
All eyes will be on TPC Southwind this weekend, as the FedEx Cup playoffs get underway in Memphis. The top 70 players in the world rankings will be in action in Tennessee, with the field competing across 7,244 yards for their share of the $20 million purse.
The tournament record is held by Dustin Johnson, who shot 30-under when winning the event for the third time in 2020. Hideki Matsuyama is the defending champion, but it could be a tough challenge for the star to retain his title in 2025.
As has been the case throughout the season, the betting is dominated by top-ranked player Scottie Scheffler. The American superstar’s dominance continued with an excellent win at The Open Championship last month, and he has finished in the top ten in each of his eleven appearances.

Russell Henley’s consistency has been overshadowed by Scheffler, as the American has accumulated nine top-ten finishes in 2025. His record at this weekend’s course should also be respected after finishing in the top ten on two occasions.
Tommy Fleetwood’s long wait for a PGA Tour win continties, but his consistency indicates that he is knocking on the door. Fleetwood has finished in the top ten on five occasions this season, and he has also been ranked inside the top five on two stars at TPC Southwind.

Scheffler is incredibly short in the betting for good reason this weekend, and instead, a chance could be taken on Harris English. The American has finished second at both The Open and PGA Championship this season, and he already has winning form to his name at TPC Southwind.
