The Open Championship Players to Make the Cut Picks
A competitive weekend of golfing action is set for Northern Ireland across the next four days. However, could there be a couple of big name players that miss out on making the final two days? You can find our picks below.
Robert MacIntyre (-350)
Robert MacIntyre looks like a standout chance to make the final two rounds this weekend. The Scotsman has been in excellent form throughout the calendar year, which included a runner-up finish at the U.S. Open.
MacIntyre has made the cut in all five of his appearances at The Open, and has finished in the top ten on two occasions.

Justin Rose (-188)
Despite being an odds-on chance this weekend, Justin Rose looks like a value play. The Englishman has been in strong form throughout the calendar year, which includes an agonizing second at The Masters.
On home soil, Rose has made the cut in 15 of his 21 appearances at The Open, with his best showing coming when finishing in T2 last year. Could be a player going under the radar this weekend.
Cameron Smith (-175)
It could be argued that Cameron Smith’s career has gone backwards since joining the LIV Tour, but the Australian’s natural ability on links courses could ensure that he is a strong chance to make the cut this weekend.
Smith won The Open back in 2022, and he has made the cut in four of the last five editions of the major. Despite failing to make the weekend in the last four majors, he has a strong chance on his return to Royal Portrush.
