Event Preview
The curtain comes down on another thrilling season of PGA Tour action this weekend, as the TOUR Championship is staged in Atlanta, Georgia. This weekend’s competition has been on the schedule since 1987, but it has been the final event of the FedEx Cup Playoffs since 2007.
Players involved will compete across 7,346 yards at East Lake Golf Club, with the par 71 course seeing a huge purse of $40 million up for grabs. Tiger Woods holds the tournament record scores, finishing 23-under when landing success in 2007.

Scottie Scheffler will be a short-price favorite for a second straight TOUR Championship success this weekend following a dominant win at the BMW Championship last weekend. The American has been the standout player on the Tour this season, and he bids to end his year on a high.
Rory McIlroy has been no stranger to success at this event, and he will be chasing a fourth honor in 2025. McIlroy has already won three times on the Tour this year, with his standout moment coming at The Masters. Unlikely to be far away.
Ludvig Aberg is one of a number of interesting angles this weekend that appears to be peaking at the right time. The Swede has achieved top-ten finishes in three of his last four starts. Russell Henley also fits that trend, and he was a strong performer at East Lake in 2024.
TOUR Championship Picks
Scheffler is undeniably the player to beat this weekend, but he is also incredibly short at the odds available. Therefore, it could be a perfect opportunity for Tommy Fleetwood to gain the victory on the PGA Tour that his performances have deserved. The Englishman has finished T3 and T4 in the two playoff events.
