Fight Preview

At 39 years old, King Green is aging like fine wine. He won the past three bounties, posting wins over Lance Gibson Jr., then Daniel Zellhuber, and lastly Jeremy Stephens. The latter two were following a stoppage.

This guy is one of the UFC legends, with 35 wins and 17 losses, battling the biggest names over the last 15 years. He is very tough and diverse, holding 12 wins via KO, 10 by submission, and 13 by decision. Sure, he doesn’t possess extraordinary talent or capabilities, but he’s well-rounded and can respond to any type of opponent.

McKinney was supposed to be much better at this stage of his career. That’s what all the projections some 5 years ago suggested. Right now, T Wrecks carries an 18-8 record, with his rivals being more or less mediocre.

This guy is an explosive fighter who reached the second round only 4 times in 26 bouts, and that pretty much says everything about his fighting style. All but one of McKinney’s 18 triumphs took place in the first round. He can hit, strike, and wrestle, but only inside the opening 5 minutes. After that, his cardio drops significantly, and he becomes a much easier rival.

Green vs. McKinney Predictions

We believe that Bobby Green has enough experience to avoid McKinney’s pushes in the first round and survive those 5 minutes. After that, he can use his skills to defeat the younger opponent.
