Event Preview

The NASCAR regular season is slowly coming toward its conclusion, with just two races remaining. Important points in the standings will be up for grabs this weekend, as drivers look to secure their spot in the round of 16. The Go Bowling at The Glen has been staged on the NASCAR schedule since 1957, and was previously known as The Glen 101.2 and The Bud at The Glen.

A total of 220.86 miles will be covered in the race this Sunday, with the opening two stages covering 20 laps apiece. The final stage is made up by the remaining 50 laps. Kyle Larson has dominated the previous editions of this race, as he has won each of the last two. His victories in 2021 and 2022 also mean that Hendrick Motorsports and Chevrolet have won each of the previous four editions.

Larson once again holds leading claims this weekend, as he has finished in the top ten in each of the previous two races. Chase Elliott will need a big performance this weekend, as he currently sits 19th in the standings. However, he was in excellent form last weekend, as he finished second in the Verizon 200 at the Brickyard.

Martin Truex Jr remains the leader in the Drivers’ Championship, and he has now finished in the top ten in each of the previous five races. Other drivers that will need big performances this weekend to enhance their playoff aspirations, including Alex Bowman and A. J. Allmendinger, who sit 20th and 21st, respectively.

Go Bowling at The Glen Predictions

This promises to be a pivotal race on the NASCAR schedule this season. However, we will be siding with Elliott to claim victory to enhance Hendrick Motorsport’s excellent record in the race. Victory would also be his third win in five editions of the race.
