Race Preview
The action on the NASCAR Cup Series schedule continues this weekend, as the South Point 400 is staged at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. The field will compete across 400.5 miles, which is made up of 267 laps. This race was first staged in 2018, and many of the leading contenders in the betting have previous winning experience.
Among those is Kyle Larson, who moved to the top of the Drivers’ Championship last weekend after winning a second playoff race in three rounds. Larson’s return to his best form is hard to ignore, and he has finished in the top five in each of the four rounds since the start of the Cup Series Chase.
Denny Hamlin remains a likely danger at the top of the rankings. Hamlin finished third in last weekend’s Hollywood Casino 400, marking his best performance since finishing second in the Window World 450. It is also notable to consider before betting on NASCAR that Hamlin has won two of the last five editions of the South Point 400.
Joey Logano is also a two-time winner of the race. Logano will need to bounce back to form after finishing 20th last weekend, but he was the winner of the recent Bass Pro Shops Night Race. Christopher Bell is also driving consistently at present, having won the Cook Out Southern 500 and finishing in the top ten in the last two races.
Ryan Blaney will also be competitively priced at the NASCAR betting odds this weekend. Blaney has dropped to fifth in the Drivers’ Championship, but he would have taken confidence from his fifth-place finish at last weekend’s Hollywood Casino 400.

Based on the NASCAR betting odds, there are plenty of leading contenders to consider this weekend. However, Hamlin has already won in Vegas this year, and his excellent record at the track is highlighted by his two wins at the South Point 400 since 2021.
