Event Preview
The NASCAR Cup Series action will come under the lights at Bristol Motor Speedway this weekend, as the 2026 Bass Pro Shops Night Race is set for Saturday evening in Tennessee. The field will complete a total distance of 266.5 miles, which is made up by 500 laps of the circuit.
There has been a major change to the Drivers’ Championship in recent weeks, with Christopher Bell and Kyle Larson winning recent races to move into the top three of the standings. Larson is making his move at a late time of the season, showcasing his dominance to win the Enjoy Illinois 300 last Sunday. Larson’s record in this weekend’s race should be respected after winning two of the last five editions.
Denny Hamlin continues to hold on to top spot in the standings after finishing in the top ten for the sixth time in eight rounds last weekend. Bell, Ryan Blaney, and Tyler Reddick will all be looking to respond this weekend after finishing outside of the top 10 in last weekend’s Enjoy Illinois 300.
Ty Gibbs finished inside of the top 20 in the previous round, and his consistency will ensure that he is an excellent value selection in Tennessee. Meanwhile, Carson Hocevar shouldn’t be dismissed after finishing eleventh in the Cook Out Southern 500 and eighth in the Enjoy Illinois 300.
Bass Pro Shop Night Race Picks
Joey Logano looks like an interesting selection this weekend after finishing ninth and third in the previous two rounds. Logano clocked the fastest lap in last weekend’s Enjoy Illinois 300, and his chances are enhanced this weekend after previously winning the Bass Pro Shop Night Race in back-to-back years in 2014 and 2015.
