Race Preview
The In-Season Challenge has been a welcome addition to the NASCAR Cup Series in 2025, with each of the last three races being incredibly dramatic. Shane van Gisbergen’s dominance has been reflected in each of the last two, winning back-to-back races in Chicago and Sonoma.
However, this weekend’s race marks a return to a traditional oval circuit at Dover Motor Speedway. This race has been staged since 1969, and the field will complete a total of 400 miles, which is made up of the same number of laps. The crucial final stage will see the concluding 160 laps contested.

Hendrick Motorsports boasts a dominant record in the race, and they will have a number of leading contenders this weekend. Kyle Larson will be a red-hot favorite, as he bids to put his 35th-place finish last weekend behind him. However, it could be worth noting that the former champion has finished outside of the top ten in the last three races.
William Byron enjoyed a return to form in California last weekend, taking eighth to break a streak of three races finishing outside of the top 20. Tyler Reddick could be considered to be the most in-form driver at this stage of the season after finishing fourth, third, and sixth across his last three appearances.
Autotrader EchoPark Automotive 400 Picks
The dominant trend of Hendrick Motorsports in this race means that there could be value in siding with Chase Elliott recording a win. The driver is currently second in the Drivers’ Championship standings, and has followed up his win a few weeks ago with a third in the Toyota/Save Mart 350.
