The race will cover a distance of 400.4 miles, which means a total of 260 laps will be completed at Atlanta Motor Speedway. This weekend’s race was first held in 1960, and it was previously known as the Atlanta 500.

Joey Logano comes into this round as the defending champion after recording a victory for Team Penske in 2024. Other recent winners include William Byron, Chase Elliott, and Kurt Busch.

Chase Briscoe comes into the in-season challenge in excellent recent form, claiming victory in The Great American Getaway 400 last Sunday. That success lifted him into the top ten in the standings, and he has now finished in the top ten in four of the last six races.

It was a weekend to forget for William Byron, as he finished 27th in last Sunday’s race. Despite that, he still holds a healthy advantage at the top of the standings.

Kyle Larson remains in a prominent position in the standings, despite finishing outside of the top five in three of the last four races.

Quaker State 400 Picks

Denny Hamlin could be an interesting play this weekend. The driver has finished in the top three in each of his last three appearances, which includes a win in the FireKeepers Casino 400. He comes into this round in strong form after taking second last time out.
