- The Bills took down the Buccaneers on Thursday night, winning it 24-18.
- Cincinnati got a huge win over the 49ers, beating them 31-17 on the road.
- These two teams last met on January 2, in a game that was not completed.
The NFL season is past the halfway point. Let’s preview the upcoming Bills vs Bengals matchup. This is a premier matchup between two of the AFC’s top teams. Both have solid defenses, and an elite QB-WR duo.
How to Watch
Buffalo got a bounce back win in the short week against the Buccaneers. They remain just 1 game behind the Dolphins in the AFC East, with the Jets at their heels as well. The Bills have a crucial matchup against a Bengals team that has won 3 in a row and is a top competitor to win the AFC. Their defense has been stellar, but Buffalo has been somewhat inconsistent on offense. Cincinnati’s defense will pose a good test.
The Bengals looked fantastic in their win over the 49ers, picking up their third win in a row. Cincinnati’s early-season woes seem to be behind them, as they are once again looking like a Super Bowl contender. That’s mainly due to the health of QB Joe Burrow increasing over time, although their defense has also been very solid. The Bengals went 4-0 against the tough NFC West, but are 0-3 against all other divisions.
This matchup has become a classic AFC rivalry over the past few seasons. After the last meeting was cancelled due to tragic circumstances, the anticipation to see who wins this game is even higher. Each team has a capable defense, and an offense led by one of the league’s top QBs. I’d favor Buffalo’s defense, but I’m still taking Joe Burrow and JaMarr Chase to get it done at home over Josh Allen and Stefon Diggs.
- Bengals 26, Bills 23 (CIN -2.5)
