  • These two teams last met on October 21, 2021, in a game the Browns won 17-14.

The NFL season is approaching its final stretch! Let’s preview the upcoming Browns vs Broncos clash. The Browns climbed to 7-3, but lost QB Deshaun Watson, and will now take on the surging Broncos in Denver.

Preview

Cleveland improved to 7-3 with their win over Pittsburgh on Sunday. The Browns remain just a half of a game behind the Ravens for 1st place in the AFC North. With Deshaun Watson needing surgery and being officially shut down for the year, the Browns started rookie Dorian Thompson-Robinson against Pittsburgh. He averaged just 3.8 yards per completion, but did enough to aid a defense that continues to carry them.

The Broncos have now won 4 straight games, after holding off the Vikings in a thrilling contest on Sunday. After a brutal 1-5 start had them in a similar position to last year, Denver is back on track. They owe much of that success to their improvement on defense. After allowing over 36 ppg in their first 5 games, against some subpar opponents, the Broncos have allowed just over 17 ppg in the last 5 games versus top teams.

Prediction

This should be a very interesting matchup between two teams with red-hot defenses. The Broncos have the advantage of being at home in this game, and also have their starting QB available. That being said, they are due for a loss, and they’ll certainly face some offensive troubles against Cleveland’s dangerous defense. I see this being a low-scoring battle, with the Browns coming away with the uspet on the road.
