Game Preview
Denver Broncos lost to the 49ers at Levi’s, 24-14. It was a grueling game in which one lost fumble by Marvin Mims Jr. practically cost them a win. We can’t say the 49ers were that much better, but they still came out on top in the end.
Once a very formidable defense, it is now 28th in the NFL in allowed yards, 375. Also, Denver’s run defense is very bad: 30th with 142.8 ypg, while the offense produces 81.2, 4th worst.
With 0-4, the Chargers’ season could be declared a waste pretty soon. Though, we need to say that in none of the previous two road games, in Buffalo and Seattle, did they get outplayed.
But disastrous QB protection hurts this team most. Justin Herbert has already been sacked 12 times. He is at increased risk of injury, and Chargers management looks ridiculous for staying inactive while their top star gets beaten up.
Broncos vs. Chargers Predictions
Sure, the Chargers play at home, but the Broncos are a better team now. If they play as they did against the 49ers last week, then LAC has no chance of beating them. For the moment, they can’t protect Herbert, and the Broncos have a solid pass rush.
