Game Preview
The Colts defense was superb in their week 9 victory over Carolina, with Kenny Moore II running two interceptions back to the end zone for scores. Colts’ rookie wide receiver Josh Downs has missed two practices this week with a knee injury picked up against Carolina. If the 22-year-old fails to practice on Friday then it is unlikely he will suit up at the weekend. Isiah McKenzie could be in line for an expanded role in his absence. Star running back Jonathan Taylor seems to have taken over the backfield in Indianapolis once again, with the 24-year-old out touching fellow RB Zack Moss by a 23 to 7 margin.
The Patriots came away from a close game against the Commanders with another loss on Sunday. Their defense, as always, was top notch but the offense couldn’t quite deliver despite plenty of opportunity in the 4th quarter. RB Rhamondre Stevenson put in his best perfomance of the season so far, rushing 9 times for 87 yards and a score. The 25-year-old also added 42 yards on 4 receptions.
Prediction
This is likely to be a close matchup, mainly due to the Patriots’ defense being great at keeping them in games. Despite that I expect the Colts to come out on top in a low scoring battle.
