| Rashid Shaheed Over 21.5 receiving yards | -115 |
Shaheed’s line is 21.5 points, and we are all-in on Over here. Why, he had 28 routes against the Rams in the NFC Championship Game, which is a clear sign that this guy’s role is increasing. And, we believe that in the case of the Seahawks’ win in the Super Bowl, Shaheed will be the X-Factor. Why?
Pats’ defense will try to stop Smith-Njigba, and will often double-team him, which should leave plenty of one-on-one opportunities for Shaheed, who had one catch vs. the Rams, though that single was worth 51 yards. Shaheed is a sleeper, and that’s a fact when looking at his stats, but there’s always one that explodes in the finals, and we strongly believe that will be this guy.
| Rhamondre Stevenson Over 20.5 receiving yards | -115 |
Rhamondre is Mike Vrabel’s favorite workhorse this year, and for the moment, he is doing a great job. He had 25 touches against the Broncos, though he did not have a single catch. Before that, he had 14 in four games that preceded the AFC Championship Game, combined for 163 receiving yards.
Now the Seahawks’ defense is excellent when it comes to run-stopping. They are No.3 in the NFL in this category. Now, why does a running back, Stevenson, come here as a factor?
Because he is a very good catcher and a versatile offensive weapon. Just look at his receiving stats, and you’ll understand that this guy may have some problems running, but his receiving might be useful in this case. That’s why we have to pick Over for his prop.
