Match Preview
The top two in the Bundesliga lock horns this weekend, with both Bayern Munich and Bayer Leverkusen still sporting perfect records after three rounds of matches. Bayern Munich will be aiming to move to the top of the Bundesliga standings for the first time this season, and their confidence will be high following a 2-1 win over Borussia Monchengladbach in their last match before the international break.
Bayern boast an excellent record in this fixture, as they have scored at least once in each of their 33 home Bundesliga fixtures against Leverkusen. The last game in which they failed to find the net in Munich came back in 1989, as they suffered a 1-0 loss against Leverkusen.

It has been a hugely encouraging start to the new season for Xabi Alonso’s Bayer Leverkusen, as they have won each of their opening three league matches for just the third time in their history. Leverkusen have already scored eleven times in the league this season, which marks the most that they have scored at this stage of the season in their history.
Huge confidence will also be taken from the fact that they landed a 2-1 win against Bayern in the previous fixture between the sides. In fact, since 2012, only Gladbach have recorded more wins against the Bavarian giants than Leverkusen in the Bundesliga.
Bayern Munich vs Bayer Leverkusen Prediction
Both of these sides have started the new season in excellent fashion. However, we will be siding with a win for the away side this weekend, as we could see Bayern resting a number of players ahead of their Champions League opener against Man United next week.
