Ajax vs. Inter Milan Odds
Head-to-Head Record
Ajax have a poor recent record against Inter Milan, having failed to win each of the last four head-to-head encounters. Across that period, Inter have recorded three wins.
Match Preview
It would be fair to say that Inter Milan’s season fell apart in the closing months of the campaign in 2024-25. Their season ultimately ended in disappointment after suffering a heavy loss at the hands of PSG in the Champions League final. This season hasn’t started much better, as they have suffered defeats in each of their last two fixtures.
Despite that, Inter have been one of the standout teams in Europe in recent memory. The Italian giants have kept clean sheets in 20 matches since the start of the 2022-23 season. It only aids their chances this week that Inter are unbeaten in their last 12 Champions League fixtures against Dutch teams.

Ajax will be back in the Champions League this season, and they will have hopes of upsetting the odds on matchday one. Johnny Heitinga is the head coach these days, and he will become the fifth person to have both played and managed Ajax in the Champions League.
Ajax have enjoyed a fairly reliable start to the new season, winning three of their five matches and avoiding defeat in all outings. They warmed up for this matchday one assignment against Inter with a straightforward 3-1 home success against PEC Zwolle on Saturday.
Ajax vs. Inter Milan Picks
These two sides both have huge European pedigrees, but it is incredibly challenging to overlook Inter’s excellent defensive record in the competition. Due to that recent, we fully expect the Italian side to register a victory on matchday one in Amsterdam.
