England’s hopes of ending their long wait for a major international honor kick off in Germany on Sunday, as the Three Lions look to get off to a winning start when they take on Serbia. Gareth Southgate has led his nation to a final and one semi-final in recent major tournaments, but a first success since 1966 still eludes the nation.
However, this could be the summer to end that long wait, with Southgate able to call upon a wealth of attacking talent. Harry Kane will be a key star for England, while Phil Foden and Jude Bellingham also boast world-class talent in the final third. But, the Three Lions will need to bounce back from a disappointing outing in their final warm-up match after losing against Iceland.
