Match Preview
One of the big shocks in the round of 16 could come in the clash between Rangers and Fenerbahce. The Scottish side upset the odds in the first leg last week, as they claimed a historic 3-1 win over Jose Mourinho’s side. Vaclav Cerny was the hero for the Gers, as the forward netted twice in an action-packed clash.
Their chances of progression will be aided this week, as the Gers are unbeaten in their last five home matches against Turkish sides. Over that period, Rangers have conceded just one goal, with that coming in a 2-1 success against Galatasaray in October 2020.

Rangers also boast a very solid home record in Europe overall, as they have suffered just two defeats in their last 14 at Ibrox. Although one of those defeats were suffered in their last home match against Benfica in the knockout stages last season.
Fenerbahce have a poor record in the knockout stages of European competitions after winning just once in their last eleven on the road. They have also conceded at least two goals in seven of the matches over that period, which includes five in the last six.
Rangers vs. Fenerbahce Picks
Rangers have progressed from 24 of their last 25 ties when holding a first leg advantage in Europe. Therefore, they will be very difficult to oppose this week. But, we could see the sides playing out a score draw in Glasgow on Thursday.
